Our mission is to provide NSM students with friendly, knowledgeable service to make their time at the University of Houston as enjoyable and productive as possible. All of the six departments in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics have advising offices staffed with knowledgeable advisors to serve undergraduate and graduate students. For information about their locations and hours of operation, click on the following links.

Academic Advising
Department Advisors can assist with such issues as:
  • Career information
  • Commencement and convocation issues not addressed on the website
  • Course registration problems
  • Degree completion requirements
  • Financial appeals
  • Grade appeals
  • Health insurance
  • Non-resident tuition waivers
  • Program requirements and admissions
  • Questions about academic suspension

Submission Deadline for Spring 2007
The Spring 2007 deadline for submitting signed, approved master's original and two copies of a thesis or dissertation for binding to the Dean's office is Monday, April 30, 2007.

Thesis and Dissertation Reviews or Final Submissions
Senior honors, Master’s and PhD students who are prepared to submit their theses or dissertations for review or final approval should call Ms. Pat Eanochs at 713-743-2611 for appointments or peanochs@uh.edu. Reviews and final submissions are done by appointments only. Ms. Eanochs is available for appointments between 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. NSM Guidelines for Thesis/Dissertation preparation and format are available in the NSM Academic Affairs Division, room 220 SR1.
