Professor of Biology and Biochemistry George Fox was named as the recipient of the Sigma Xi Faculty Research Award during an award ceremony and reception that concluded the annual Sigma Xi poster competition Thursday, April 8th. The prize is awarded annually to a UH faculty member who is recognized as a significant contributor to the advancement of knowledge in his or her scientific field. The award carries a $2000 prize and the winner delivers a lecture held in the Fall semester.
